Hi Neighbor,

My name is Teresa Sitz. I’ve served the Community of Wonder Valley for the last 3½ years -- as the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) delegate, and as the Coordinator of the Wonder Valley Community Center. I started the WV NextDoor website, WonderValley.org, and I help write the weekly Wonder Valley Sand Paper. Over the last 3½ years I’ve produced and hosted more than 55 events at the Wonder Valley Community Center.

Last July 5, 2018 I started a tax-deductible non-profit 501(c)(3) organization called Friends of Wonder Valley I serve as secretary on our 5-member board. We're all unpaid volunteers.

Our mission is to "...enhance the lives of the people in Wonder Valley, California by providing programs that engage residents and build community, including arts, music, theater, education, food, health, recreation, and others as needs arise and capacity grows."

I invite you to join with me, and our board, in this mission.

Next year (2 short months away) we plan to apply for grants to help us fulfill the goals of our mission. These goals include making the Wonder Valley Community Center as useful to the community as possible; covering the costs of qualified meetings and events; maintaining current USDA and Salvation Army food programs, and starting others; promoting the creation of health programs, including mental health programs that address suicide; showcasing area artists, musicians, writers, and academics; engaging in partnerships outside of Wonder Valley that raise our profile and benefit the community; and preserving the history of the area, and safeguarding the identity of Wonder Valley. We will need your help.

When I went to my first MAC meeting in 2015, people would laugh and say to me, “When I think of Wonder Valley, I wonder why anyone would live there.” Well, they’re not wondering anymore.
Join us in BEING the WONDER.

I am asking you for 2 things: an end-of-the-year gift AND a monthly sustaining contribution.
  • An end-of-the-year Gift
We’ll be writing grants next year and they’re going to want to see our Form 990. I’d like to show that we received significant contributions before the end of this year -- to show widespread community support. This first gift we’re asking of you is very important to the success of our mission. Please give generously.
AND
  • A monthly sustaining contributionThat contribution can be as little as $5 a month. Monthly contributions are important because
    1) this is money we can depend on each month to carry out our mission; and
    2) when we write grants it shows that we have sustained community support.
I’d like to end this year with 40 sustaining contributors. Please be one.
To be honest, for the last 3+ years most of the money for coffee, pastries, facilities fees, county insurance policies, event costs, and paper and toner for the Wonder Valley Sand Paper, came out of my pocket. I paid for it because I believe in this community and I’ve worked hard to support it. My job as coordinator pays about $700 a month and Ken is on social security. We’ll keep giving, but we can’t do it alone anymore. Please, if you can, match at least a portion of what we've given over the years.

Giving to the Community of Wonder Valley has been one of the most satisfying experiences of my life. Join me. Come hang out with me at the WVCC or The Palms, and I’ll introduce you to some really incredible people.

Love and peace,

Teresa Sitz

  1. But a Hot Girl is also be|can be} a sensible lady, so I've included some other things you need for a protected HGW, like sunscreen, water bottles, and earbuds enable you to} hear the surroundings round you. Since May, ladies have been commemorating their graduation days by filling their social media timelines with photos of themselves in caps and robes, together with captions alluding to their own hotness. “Real hot girls main in STEM,” read the mortarboard of one graduate of the University of AV쏘걸 Nevada, Las Vegas.
